The problem with illness and health issues and setting goals to daydream that you’re healthy, or that your leg works is very difficult because the pain is right there in your face saying “you’re a liar” when you daydream that your painful leg feels good. That kind of discouragement can also show its ugly head with financial, peace of mind, and relationships, because they’re always right there stressing you telling you that your daydreams aren’t real. But health issues are a perfect example of how you can beat discouragement with gratitude. The It’s Not Your Fault system tells you to list everything for which you are grateful, that in any way is connected with the area of your discouragement.
In the chapter on gratitude in It's Not Your Fault - The Guardian Code, there’s an exercise where you try to “think” lack and gratitude or depression and gratitude at the same time. It’s impossible. So for help, if you are grateful for everything good about your body that works and then state what you need to be healthy as though your goal for healing has already been accomplished, people, information, circumstances will be drawn to you like a magnet.
Sherry, from Michigan, had a severe case of ulcers. The doctors had prescribed various acid-relief remedies: milk, cottage cheese, dairy products. She continued to become more ill with three ulcers in her stomach. She started to apply the It’s Not Your Fault system and daydreaming perfect health using gratitude to get her mentally through the pain. She and her husband went to health food stores, referenced alternative remedies, and went to two additional new doctors with no encouraging prospects. Sixteen days after beginning the INYF (It's Not Your Fault) system, Sherry got a call from a friend who had a relative staying in her home who was an herbalist from the state of Utah. He was going to present some health information to a few of her friends the next evening. Sherry and her husband attended the meeting and asked about the ulcers. She was told that the remedies she had been given were actually creating more of a problem and that she should take a quarter of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in two ounces of water three times a day for two weeks. She was also told to avoid all dairy products until the ulcers were healed. Within a very short period of time, the pain had disappeared, and before the two weeks were over, the ulcers had disappeared. Obviously, Sherry’s daydreaming didn’t cure her ulcers, but it magnetized her for the teacher to appear that would.
I invite you all to try and use the INYF - Guardian Code system in your own lives. Let us know how it's helped you.
Until next time, take care and happy living!
