You have heard endless stories about people who win the lottery and are broke in a very short period of time. (Also you may have experienced yourself getting a loan to pull you out of a financial problem and discovered not too long after word that you were in worse shape financially than before and in addition had to figure out how to pay the loan off.) Maybe get another loan?
We as the judges of those folks in our infinite wisdom ask how they could go through that much money and have nothing to show for it. "Are they stupid or just plain foolish?"
The answer is very simple. These folks are just not ready to handle any "Success" that they have not learned and earned. In short, they have not gone through the very exact process that is required to accomplish anything in life. They have bypassed the step-by-step achievement formula called The Guardian Code.
The mental state of winning a freebie is the exact opposite of what it takes to learn, earn and repeat success. If people are not already successfully living within their means and have not yet learned how to duplicate the flow of income to themselves they are simply gamblers hoping that luck and good fortune will smile on them.
Please understand the "law of averages" does work. It states, in sales for example, that if you talk to enough people someone is bound to give you an order. (In essence, if you throw enough mud against the wall something is bound to stick.) But, every product has a different "probability" of successful acceptance. A prosperous sales person has to go through the steps of The Guardian Code and learn how to DUPLICATE his or her success. Otherwise he or she is only a gambler hoping luck be their friend.
My challenge when I was in the field with sales was to duplicate success. Just once or once in a while, getting an order was gambling or being dependent on "the law of averages". You can't feed your family betting on luck.
You see mistakes and failure are the catalysts to change from what you are and what you have, to what you need to do to maintain whom you need to be to get, and keep, what you want. (See "failure the path to success" in The Guardian Code)
Interesting note: I'm sure that you can make an argument for a gambler that you know that is actually successful. Unfortunately, that individual is not truly a gambler.
If he is consistently successful he has done what every single human being has to do to be consistently successful. He has turned what you look at and see as his gambling into actually a science and he has applied The Guardian Code.
Take for example card counting, which by the way will get him thrown out of the casinos if he keeps on winning. He "has calculated the odds, percentage of possible wins, when he keeps track of cards that have been played. This is not gambling it's actually science. The casinos in turn use multiple decks of cards to overload his memory. If they can't force him to revert to the "dumb luck" of the "law of averages" they simply refuse to play and eject him from their "stacked deck" system.
Another note worthy example:
Anyone who has tried a diet to lose serious weight has inevitably discovered that if during the diet they have not managed to change their habits to those of the thin trim person they desire to be, they will surely fail repeatedly until they make those changes.
(Remember the Fen/Phen diet when people lost huge amounts of weight only to gain it back with a vengeance when they went off the diet.)
(The formula of The Guardian Code is absolute for every achievement.)
So here we are at the conclusion as to why a bailout loan or making one big score (winning a lottery) does not provide the "Live happily ever after" solution to financial success and stability that many folks imagine. In order for people to have true reproducible, consistent success at anything they have to have gone through the necessary changes to become the person that deserves that achievement through the application of the only absolute formula of achievement, referred to in this context as The Guardian Code.
Until next time, may you have the peaceful and charmed life that you deserve.
