Either sit there or get up!
Without hope, vision and passion you might just as well stayed down and just sit there. I'm sure if you sit there long enough some government program will feed you and give you a roll of toilet paper.
However, if you would choose a magnificent, exciting, prosperous destiny and would be in control of your "charmed life", go ahead, get up and "decide" the outcome that you want. Commit yourself to never "undeciding" (building in an escape clause if it doesn't work out). Then get so passionate for your purpose that both heaven and earth will step aside for it's achievement.
You ask, what creates passion?
The answer is vision, decision and total commitment.
There are two ways to acquire the "stuff of passion".
It comes from excited desire to accomplish, possess and provide or from varying degrees of necessity. As necessity intensifies, motivation to achieve increases until it eventually overpowers the inertia of laziness, stubbornness and indecision.
Here's a little quote that I created at one very low time in my life.
"Necessity is the mother of invention but terror is the father of pure inspiration."
There's a principal, (A universal law) taught in the book ITS NOT YOUR FAULT, that you can use to get all the passion and commitment that you need for anything.
Here it is: "To know me is to love me."
Here's how it applies.
Whatever you decide to develop passion about, simply get to "know it" so well that you are guaranteed to love it.
In school: "Decide" you are going to learn everything in the textbook and everything the teacher can provide. Totally immerse yourself in the subject.
The promise: Previously unexciting classes will become interesting and even your favorites. (And I'm sure you know how well you do in classes that you like.)
A secret: Teachers feel best about themselves with students who appreciate learning what they are trying to teach. (Remember what happens when someone likes them-self best when you are near?)
At work: "Decide" that whatever work you are given you are going to be the best, fastest, most accurate and dependable that it is possible to be in your tasks. Go the extra mile in learning more about your work than anyone in the company.
A secret: Bosses are just like teachers when one of their employees "gets it". You make them feel good about themselves as a leader. More important, how do you think it makes them feel about you when you make them look good to their bosses.
I was talking with a friend the other day about a young man who "couldn't cut" it as a medical student so we switched to marketing considering himself a failure. The good news, he didn't lack the ability he just lacked the passion. But, now you know how to get passion and that it will trump ability, laziness, Intelligence, wealth, and impossibility every single time.
Look into two universal laws in the book ITS NOT YOUR FAULT – The Guardian Code.
"To know me is to love me." And "I like me best when I'm with you."
Until next time, may you have the peaceful and charmed life that you deserve.
